We’re Chris and Kara Carrero. We live in Boston, MA with our 3, almost 4 kids.

While we’ve always loved games it’s turned into a way to connect with community and to help our kids learn in a more meaningful way in the last 4 years. Before that Kara was a secondary education teacher, and she has and will continue to use her degree to create quality lesson plans, printable resources, and more throughout this site.

We love games so much that our last extended family vacation with cousins and grandparents, we brought only carry-ons, but our biggest piece of luggage was full of about 19 or more games.

Our oldest, Jenn [2012], caught the love of games in the last couple of years, especially after visiting a game fair in New York City! Her current favorites are Dragonwood, Imhotep, and Sleeping Queens.

Emma [2014] enjoys playing LOOT and Sleeping Queens and has a passion for GIANT floor puzzles while Rhett [2016] is an avid game-watcher, though he’s really great at doing basic puzzles. We’re expecting our littlest gamer in the Spring of 2019.

Fun fact: When we play games with friends, we have them write their names and the date in the lid to have a record.

Check out these poetry magnets! It’s a great way to make silly stories and practice reading.
